‘Lovers Crystal’ Geode. A quartz crystal geode split to reveal the geode cavity filled with crystal clusters. 4.6 kg total, 17.5-18 cm (6 7/8 - 7 in.) From the phosphate mines, Morocco, North Africa. Private Shropshire, UK, collection. Often referred to as ‘lovers’ crystals’ as these geodes are split open, creating a unique, perfectly fitting pair that only fit together with each other.
