Sassanian Silver Belt Mount Collection. 6th-8th century A.D. A group of seven silver belt mount elements comprising: six tall m-shaped studs each with waisted vertical sides, recessed upper face and two slender cylindrical attachment points to the reverse; one strap end with broadly rectangular body plan, a D-shaped end, the other with a notched rectangular collar and attachment rivet through the body. 93 grams total, 34-71 mm (1 1/4 - 2 3/4 in.) From a private family collection formed in London from the mid 1980s to early 1990s. [7]
