Hasanlu Decorated Bracelet. 9th century B.C. A hammered bronze penannular bracelet, the surface decorated with chased geometric patterns of circles alternated with crudely executed hatched triangles forming foliage guilloches. These kind of bracelets were widespread in the ancient areas of Hasanlu and Northern Iranian Plateau, and various examples have been found in Luristan, Azerbaijan and Caucasus. Their decoration is mainly composed of narrows bands of interlocking horizontal hatched triangles, concentric ovals, cross-hatching, plain areas, herringbone patterns and so on. [No Reserve]
