Description

Artefact Group. Mainly 1st millennium B.C. A mixed group of artefacts comprising openwork spherical cages, likely pin heads; a penannular hoop with coiled terminals; brooch with penannular frame, coiled terminals and tapering pin; an X-shaped fitting with two terminals formed as stylised ibex heads, suspension loop between; an Iron Age penannular ring with opposed terminals; three post-medieval items: a statuette in the form of a stylised human head; pendant with carnelian stone; foliate furniture fitting. 200 grams total, 27-76 mm (1 - 3 in.) Early 1990s London collection. Acquired on the UK art market. From a private collection, Lancashire, UK. [10, No Reserve]
