Textile Fragment. 12th century A.D. A textile fragment composed of griffins in honeycomb borders, floral and foliate motifs, later backing, mounted beneath glass in a gilt wood frame. 6.1 kg total, 98.5 x 80 cm (38 3/4 x 31 1/2 in.) London art market, circa 1985. This lot has been checked against the Interpol Database of stolen works of art and is accompanied by AIAD certificate no.11072-184000.
