Stone Age Polished Hand Axe. Neolithic, 4th-3rd millennium B.C. A polished greenstone hand axe head with lentoid-section body and D-shaped cutting edge, labelled 'Harvey Fell Co. Durham' to one end. 204 grams, 11.2 cm (4 3/8 in.) Found Harvey Fell, Co. Durham, UK. Earlier 20th century collection. Alex Szolin Ancient Art, UK. Dr D.G. collection, 1990s-2019. Accompanied by an old typed and illustrated catalogue slip with provenance.
