Roman Handle with Captives. 1st-3rd century A.D. A heavy lead handle or mount formed as two captives, bound together with an iron ferrule around the feet and an iron peg through the upper bodies. 69 grams, 62 mm (2 1/2 in.) From an important central London collection formed since the mid 1960s; thence by descent.
