Accompanied by a copy of an old Ancient & Oriental certificate of authenticity. The image of the eye was a powerful one in ancient Mesopotamia. At the so-called Eye temple at Tell Brak, north eastern Syria, archaeologists have unearthed thousands of 'eye idols', giving rise to the suggestion that the it was the site of a temple dedicated to an eye god.
