Thracian Ring with Fighting Warriors on Horseback. 5th-3rd century B.C. A bronze ring with D-section hoop, stepped expanding shoulders and ovoid bezel bearing incuse scene of helmetted warriors on horseback, carrying shields and spears, within a plain border. 11.08 grams, 29.19 mm overall, 20.64 mm internal diameter (approximate size British Q 1/2, USA 8 1/4, Europe 18.12, Japan 17) (1 in.) In a UK private collection before 2000. On the UK art market. Property of a London gentleman.
Fine condition. A large wearable size.
