A bronze zoomorphic vessel representing a bird, composed of a squat carinated body, flared rim, D-section handle, elongated tapering U-section spout with upper face open, short bridge joining the spout to the rim, mounted by a horned goat; accompanied by a custom-made display stand. 862 grams, 28 cm wide (1.28 kg total, 29 cm wide including stand) (11 in. (11 3/8 in.) Acquired from a Mayfair gallery, c.1991. Property of a North London gentleman.
