Roman Gold Ring with Portrait Gemstone. 3rd-4th century A.D. A gold ring composed of a facetted hoop, volute scrolls at the shoulders, raised oval bezel set with an onyx intaglio with profile bust. 4.99 grams, 22.78 mm overall, 18.04 mm internal diameter (approximate size British K 1/2, USA 5 1/2, Europe 10.58, Japan 10) (7/8 in.)
