A bifacial apotropaic pilgrim's whistle in the form of a cockerel, dense detailing to the feathered body, folded wings and tail head with large eyes, elongated beak, comb and wattle formed as suspension loop; elliptical opening at feet are a possible indicator that this was a whistle. 10.05 grams, 48 mm (19.4 grams total, 63 x 43 mm including case (1 7/8 in.
