Large Indian Statue of Krishna. Late 19th-early 20th century A.D. A hollow-formed bronze figure of Krishna standing nude on a lotus-flower base, hair gathered in an ushnisha and wearing a decorated collar and belt, earrings and arm rings; open to the underside. 14.3 kg, 77 cm high (30 1/4 in.) Acquired 1960s to early 1970s. ‘Buckingham Collection’, the late Nik Douglas (1944-2012), renowned author, curator and Asian art expert. Accompanied by a copy of Nik Douglas's collection illustration. [No Reserve]
