Mesopotamian Horse-Drawn Chariot. 2nd millennium B.C. A stylised standing horse figure attached to a D-shaped shaft, carriage of shallow box form with splayed perimeter and tall parapet, wheels on a copper-alloy bar. 363 grams, 22 cm (8 5/8 in.) Acquired on the London art market, 1980. Property of a North London gentleman.
