Documented and Researched Order of the Red Banner. Type 1. Award # 2387
Silver. Type 1, “Mirror” reverse. Screwback. Original unique type silver nut. Comes with official DUPLICATE Orders Book, issued in 1948 instead of lost original one. Issued to Morgunov N.N. (includes photo separately). Also, this order comes with Military ID booklet (contains photo, firmly resembling the one in the Orders Book), reassuringly issued to Morgunov N.N., which has a lot of his military career related information, including his full military record. Guards Lieutenant Colonel Morgunov (born 1907) served as recon officer, and it’s listed that he was in a “government business trip” between Feb. and Nov. 1938 (page 4). Received this order of Red Banner by decree of Feb. 22, 1939. Retired in 1952. Although, citations for veteran’s all other orders can be downloaded for free from podvignaroda.ru, there is award card or citation for this pre-war Red Banner. Possible China conflict award.
