Bronze Nummus, AD 1042-1050. Constantinople.
Class C, attributed to Constantine IX. Obv: ЄMMANOVHΛ, three-quarter length bust of Christ Antiphonetes standing facing, raising hand in benediction and holding book of Gospels; IC-XC across fields. Rev: large jeweled cross, with IC-XC-NI-KA in its angles.
Good Very Fine; a pleasant example in good condition for the type.
