Description

ANCIENT GREECE. MACEDON, KOINON OF MACEDONIA. First Meris.
Silver Tetradrachm, circa 158-150 BC.
Obv: bust of Artemis right, wearing stephane, bow and capped quiver over shoulder; all within circle of dots in tondo of Macedonian shields. Rev: MAKEΔONΩN ΠPΩTHΣ, horizontal club, monogram above; all within oak wreath, thunderbolt in outer left field.
