Description

ANCIENT GREECE. KINGDOM OF MACEDON. Alexander III 'the Great'.
Silver Tetradrachm, circa 336-323 BC. Amphipolis.
Obv: head of Herakles right, wearing lion skin headdress. Rev: Zeus Aëtophoros seated left, holding sceptre; AΛEΞANΔPOY to right, bunch of grapes in left field.

Good Very Fine; test cut, some encrustations, otherwise a highly attractive example.
