Obv.: Left-facing profile bust of Carolus Linnaeus wearing a court wig and formal dress, signed "DUBOIS. F."
Rev.: Six-line Latin inscription "NATUS / ROESHULTAE / IN SUECIA / AN.M.DCC.VII. / OBIIT / AN.M.DCC.LXXXVIII." (Born in Rashult, Sweden in 1707, Died in 1788). Below, "SERIES NUMISMATICA / UNIVERSALIS VIRUM ILLUSTRIUM / M.DCCC.XVIII." (Universal Numismatic Series of Illustrious Men, 1818).
