The Nantwich Old Bank was founded in 1808.The partners running it at the time of issue of the tokens were Charles D. Broughton, William Sprout, John Garnett and William Sutton. The bank failed in the depression of 1826.
Central Shield crest, NANTWICH TOKEN VALUE ONE SHILLING. / Central inscribed Garter, PAYABLE TO. Within, AT THE OLD BANK. Legend around, ONE POUND NOTE FOR 20 TOKENS. Edge milled.
In secure plastic holder, graded NGC AU 58 , certification number 6946783-004.
