Description

ROMAN REPUBLIC & IMPERATORIAL. P. Clodius M. f. Turrinus.
Silver Denarius, 42 BC. Rome.
Obv: laureate head of Apollo right; lyre behind. Rev: Diana standing right, with bow and quiver over shoulder, holding two lighted long torches; P•CLODIVS downwards on right, M•F downwards on left.

Good Very Fine; unobtrusive banker's marks (upper cheek, lower neck), rev struck slightly off-centre, lovely light golden iridescence to devices of obv.

From the Ion Collection; collector's ticket included.
