Silver Medal, 1854.
By C. Voigt, on the 50th anniversary of Friedrich Tiedemann's doctorate in Frankfurt.
Physiologist Friedrich Tiedemann was a professor at Landshut and Heidelberg. One of his most celebrated writings was on sea cucumber anatomy which this medal refers to.
Extremely fine with deep multi-coloured toning.
