Description

ANCIENT GREECE. KINGDOM OF MACEDON. Antigonos I 'Monophthalmos'.
Silver Drachm, circa 310-301 BC. Lampsakos.
Struck as Strategos or king of Asia, in the name and types of Alexander III. Obv: head of Herakles right, wearing lion skin headdress. Rev: Zeus Aëtophoros seated left, holding sceptre; AΛΕΞΑΝΔΡΟΥ right, forepart of Pegasos in left field, monogram beneath throne.

Very Fine, flan crack.
