Description

ANCIENT GREECE. INDO-GREEK KINGDOM. Apollodotos II.
Silver drachm, circa 85-65 BC.
Obv: ΒΑΣΙΛΕΩΣ ΣΩΤΗΡΟΣ ΚΑΙ ΦΙΛΟΠΑΤΟΡΟΣ, diademed and draped bust right; ΑΠΟΛΛΟΔΟΤΟΥ below. Rev: Athena Alkidemos advancing to left, shield decorated with aegis over arm, hurling thunderbolt; monogram in left field, Kharosthi script around.
Good Very Fine; beautifully toned.
