Gold solidus, AD 870-871. Constantinople.
Obv: + IhS XPS RЄX RЄGNANTIЧM*, Christ Pantokrator enthroned facing. Rev: bASILIOS ЄT COҺSƮAhƮ' AЧGG b', crowned facing busts of Basil, with short beard and loros, and Constantine, beardless and wearing chlamys, holding patriarchal cross between them. About Mint State; a spectacular example of the type.
