Bronze sestertius, AD 80-81. Rome.
Obv: IMP T CAES VESP AVG P M TR P COS VIII, laureate head right. Rev: IVDAEA CAPTA, palm tree; to left, bound captive standing right before pile of arms; to right, Judaea seated right in attitude of mourning.; SC in exergue.
Very Fine.

Reference: RIC II.1-; BMCRE-; Goldberg 110, lot 1790 (same dies - inferior specimen - hammer: USD 3,200).
Rarity: Exceptionally Rare variant with this obv. legend; unpublished in the standard reference works.
