Description

ANCIENT GREECE. THRACE, CHERSONESOS.
Silver hemidrachm, circa 386-338 BC.
Contemporary imitation. Obv: forepart of lion left, head reverted. Rev: quadripartite incuse square with alternating raised and sunken quarters; pellets in opposite quarters.
Extremely Fine; test cut to rev., otherwise an attractive example.

Reference: cf. HGC 3-1437 (prototype).
Diameter: 13 mm.
Weight: 2.07 g.
Composition: Silver.
