Description

ANCIENT CARTHAGE.
Bronze trishekel, circa 221-202 BC.
Second Punic War issue. Obv: wreathed head of Tanit left. Rev: horse standing right; palm tree behind; ligate Punic Ṭ and Š below.
Good Very Fine; two unobtrusive holes/digs to rev., subsequently plugged(?), nicely centred on the flan.
