ILKHAN: Ghazan Mahmud, 1295-1304, AR dinar (12.72g), Jalalabad, AH700, A-2171, month of Ramadan, trilingual obverse, with the date in Arabic; the month appears in the reverse margin, some flatness, possibly the result of a mount removed, VF, RRR, ex Christian Rasmussen Collection. The mint name is somewhat oddly engraved, and the reading of Jalalabad is tentative. There was an important palace town of Jalalabad not far from Tarom, north of Zanjan, but it may not have been functioning during the Ilkhan period.
