ZIYANID: Abu Ziyan Muhammad II, 1394-1399, AV dinar (4.42g), Tilimsan (Tlemcen), ND, A-B516, H-—, reverse legend within the square is duriba bi'l-madina tilimsan / 'an 'amr 'abd Allah / muhammad al-ghani billah / amir al-muslimin / ayadahu Allah wa nasarahu, Qur'an verse 16:92 on the obverse, VF, RRR. This is the only Ziyarid version that bears the mint name within the obverse square rather than within the margin. An inferior specimen, probably the only other known example, was sold in Roma E-Sale-46:934.
