PHOENICIA: Anonymous, circa 126 BC to 66 AD, AR shekel (14.32g), Tyre, dated CY 53 (74/3 BC), BMC-144, laureate bust of Melkart right, wearing lion's skin around his neck // eagle standing left on prow; palm frond behind; to left, ΓN (date) above club; A to right, Phoenician aleph between legs, EF, ex Lockett Collection. From an old Collection, purchased by the collector in the 1960s with his tag.
