PATIALA: Narinder Singh, 1845-1862, AR rupee (11.08g) (Patiala), AH[12]63, Y-1. SS-212, paddle personal mark, date in the center of jalus as just "63 ", but the "6 " is perhaps an error for "9 " and the real date VS1903, which overlaps AH1263 (in 1847), VF, RR, ex Mohun Singh Collection. It seems that all standard rupees of Narinder Singh have the mint name Patiala, off-flan on most examples. The upper reverse rosette is within a hexalobe, unknown for other dates; same dies as SS-212a illustated.
