HEJAZ & NEJD: 'Abd al-'Aziz b. Sa'ud, 1924-1926, AE ½ ghirsh, Umm al-Qurrâ (Mecca), AH1343, KM-2.1, superb bold strike, finest we have seen in many years, traces of original silver-wash, AU Occupation issue struck during the Kingdom of Nejd conquest of Hejaz. The city of Mecca fell without struggle on October 13, 1924.
