BURMA: AR kyat, CS2114, KM-X1, R&S-11.1b, Frank Lapa fantasy issue marked ESSAI below the wreath on reverse, a superb example, possibly the finest known example! PCGS graded Specimen 67. Frank Lapa was a Chicago area coin dealer who produced counterfeits and fantasy coins marketed in the late 1960s and 1970s. He was convicted of killing his associate, Raymond Yablun, in August 1975, and spent years in prison.
