ARTUQIDS OF MARDIN: Artuq Arslan, 1201-1239, AE dirham (11.11g), Mardin, AH599, A-1830.2, SS-38.1, Centaur archer shooting arrow at dragon emerging from the Centaur's tail, citing the Ayyubid ruler Abu Bakr I as overlord; beautiful example! VF-XF. This is the first Artuqid issue to cite the mint name Mardin.
