QATADID SHARIF OF MECCA: Mukaththir b. 'Isa al-Fulayta, 1188-1197, AR fractional dirham (0.25g), NM, ND, A-1159O, exactly the same central triangles as the full dirham but with pellets instead of legends around; unpublished, nice VF, RRRR. The triangle design was also used on the gold and silver coins of the contemporary Ayyubid ruler of Yemen, Tughtegin.
