NGUYEN DYNASTY (DAI NAM): Tu Duc, 1848-1883, AE 60 van (29.46g), Cr-207.2, T-236, 47mm, tu duc bao sau // chun van luc tap (equal to sixty cash), VF-EF, RR. These coins were first issued in 1877 from Hanoi, and the value of one tien was given to them; but on account of their inferior intrinsic value the people disliked them, and their circulation was in consequence very limited.
