HEJAZ & NEJD: 'Abd al-'Aziz b. Sa'ud, 1923-1953, AE ½ ghirsh, Umm al-Qurrâ (Mecca), AH1343, KM-2.1, overstruck on Hejaz KM-23, bold strike with partial original silver-wash, EF-AU. Occupation issue struck during the Kingdom of Nejd conquest of Hejaz. The city of Mecca fell without struggle on October 13, 1924.
