ILKHAN: Muhammad Khan, 1336-1338, AV ¼ dinar (1.08g), Yazd, ND, A-T2226, short inscriptions sultan / muhammad // danakim / yazd, where danakim means ¼, indicating that this coin is indeed ¼ of a mithqal - the Ilkhan weight of the mithqal was 4.32g, strong VF, RRR. This appears to be the third known example, Zeno-154923 (same dies, sold in our Auction 37, lot 846) and one offered by Sotheby's, 17 April 1984, Lot 159.
