BUWAYHID: 'Imad al-Din Abu Kalinjar, 1024-1048, AR heavy dirham (13.51g), Suq al-Ahwaz, AH(43)5, A-P1584, ruler cited with his pre-AH435 titles 'imad din Allah wa ghiyath 'ibad Allah, plus the title shahanshah al-mu'azzam, not found on his other coins of Abu Kalinjar; struck on relatively small, but very thick planchet, considerable weakness but clear date & mint, Fine, RRR. Similar heavy thick-planchet examples were struck by the Ghaznavids Mahmud (Balkh Mint, AH415, 16.90g) and Mas'ud (Balkh, DM, but with caliph al-Qadir, so AH421-423, 13.36g).
