TENASSERIM-PEGU: Anonymous, 17th/18th century, cast large tin coin (41.29g), Robinson, 69mm; mythical hintha bird facing left, with tail rising above and holding a 3-leaf branch in its beak, 13 pellets below the beak & 12 pellets beneath the tail // stylized Burmese text, based on Robinson text B1, but with square Burmese letters, one additional symbol below the reverse field, fantastic quality, AU, RRR. We have had about 6 examples of this type in our Auctions 33-43, all or nearly all from different molds.
