QING: Guang Xu, 1875-1908, AE cash, Wuchang Mint, Hubei Province, ND (1898), H-22.1355, Hsu-182, Duan-3914, machine-struck type in brass, a lovely lightly toned mint state example! PCGS graded MS63. In 1896 officials from Hupeh Province commissioned the Kwangtung machine mint to provide it with coins. In 1898 the mint in Hupeh began to strike coins itself on the 7 fen weight standard.
