Dinars of Chandragupta III usually have one of four symbols between the king’s head and the Garuda, either sun, crescent, chakra, or srivatsa, but this is a new type with the king wearing a sword. First published by Tandon in 2020 (Numismatic Chronicle 180), this new sword type has the circle tamgha seen on Chandragupta III dinars.
