UNITED STATES: wampum necklace, Opitz p.372-73, ca. 53cm in circumference, composed of 21 white shell tubes and numerous small black stone beads, produced by the Campbell family of New Jersey beginning in 1735, used for trade with Native American tribes in the West, EF, ex Charles Opitz Collection.
