CRIMEA: (GIRAY KHANS): Shahin Giray, 1777-1783, AR 5 para (5 kopeck) (1.32g), Baghcha Saray, AH1191 year 4, A-A2115, Sariev-334 (same dies), Retowski-115, Bitkin-18, 2nd series, toughra obverse with 3 small floral symbols, plain edge, small flower before the date, struck on a planchet cut from the edge of the silver sheet, EF to About Unc, RRR. The small silver fractions of the second series (para and 5 para) are much rarer than the three larger pieces (20 para, 40 para, and 60 para), seldom offered for sale and missing from the important collection sold by Künker in 2013 (Auction 234), Sincona in 2013 (Auction 12) and from the Dick Nauta collection sold in our Auction 40.
