UMAYYAD: Anonymous, ca. 720s-740s, AE fals (2.38g), al-Jûzjân, ND, A-J202, obverse text bism Allah / ja'iz, reverse text duriba bi'a- / -l-jûzjân; region and city located on the trade route between Marw and Balkh, almost no porosity on this piece, VF, RRR. This is the second reported Umayyad fals of al-Juzjan. The first was sold in our Auction 37, Lot 248, and this piece is much nicer than the previous one.
