AYYUBID OF YEMEN: al-Mas'ud Yusuf, 1214-1228, AE fals (4.87g), Makka, AH(6)22, A-1097, Zeno-245312, cf. Zeno-28505, citing the ruler's father as al-malik al-kamil muhammad (of Egypt), followed by himself as al-malik al-mas`ud / yusuf // mint & date in middle line, partial weak strike, VF, RRR. This is one of only two examples we can find of this type.
