PORTUGAL: Afonso VI, 1656-1667, AR 250 reis (10.90g), ND (1663), KM-435.3, Gomes-A6.42.06, Vaz-Ag.17 (Portugal), Vaz-Ag.57 (Brazil), revaluation countermark on ND (1643) Portugal 200 reis (KM-50), bold countermark on etched and lightly clipped host, EF on Fine-VF (for wear) host. Apparently, these revaluated coins circulated not only in Portugal, but in Brazil and perhaps other colonial areas as well.
