GREAT MONGOLS: Anonymous, ca. 1230s-1260s, AV dinar (3.85g), Qara Qorum, ND, A-B1967var, cf. Zeno-60957, obverse legend is al-urdu al-a 'zam followed by some peculiar Arabic that might be an Arabicized Uighur legend, with the mint name Khorum in Uighur below (for Qara Qorum), weak strike, very late style for this series, crude Fine, RR. Qara Qorum is now a preserved historic cite in central Mongolia. This type will be A-3738Q in the 4th edition of the Checklist.
