Bowker Numismatic Library. Howard Franklin Bowker (1889-1970) was a numismatist and philatelist, collecting and specializing in Chinese coins, stamps and banknotes. He created the first bibliography of Western language publications on East Asian numismatics. J. Silvestre was a French colonial administrator in Indochina and the author of The Coins and Medals of Annam published in the American Journal of Numismatics, Volume 37, Number 3 in 1903 as well as this article.
